How Mannat Lodge collects, uses and protects your personal information — in plain language.

Last updated: 5 August 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains exactly what information Mannat Lodge collects when you book a room, contact us or browse this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to the guest information we handle at our property in Hailakandi, Assam.

1.Who we are

Mannat Lodge is a hotel and lodging business operating at Old LIC Building, Rabindra Sarani, Hailakandi, Assam - 788151, India. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Mannat Lodge; “you” refers to any person who visits this website, makes an enquiry, or books or stays with us.

This website, www.mannatresidency.in, is our official direct-booking website. We are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described below.

2.Information we collect

We only collect information we actually need to run the hotel.

Information you give us

  • Booking details — your full name, mobile number, email address (optional), check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, room type, and any special requests or notes you add.
  • Enquiries — anything you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp, including the content of those messages.
  • At check-in — details from a valid government photo ID, which we are required to record for every guest under applicable Indian law and local police regulations. For foreign nationals we are additionally required to record passport and visa details and report the stay to the authorities (Form C).

Information collected automatically

  • Basic technical data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and approximate location, collected by our hosting provider in standard server logs for security and reliability.

What we do not collect

  • No card or payment data. This website does not process payments. We never ask for and never store card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking credentials or OTPs. Payment is made at the property.
  • No sensitive personal data such as health, biometric, religious or financial information is requested through this website.

Please do not send us passwords, card details or OTPs by email or WhatsApp. No member of our staff will ever ask you for them.

3.How we use your information

We use your personal data only for these specific, lawful purposes:

  • To create, confirm, modify or cancel your booking.
  • To send you a booking confirmation and any messages necessary for your stay, by email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • To answer your questions and provide guest service before, during and after your stay.
  • To maintain guest and occupancy records required by law, including the guest register and ID records.
  • To keep the property and our guests safe, and to prevent fraudulent or abusive bookings.
  • To keep accounting records and meet our tax and regulatory obligations.

We rely on your consent, given when you submit a booking or enquiry, and on our legitimate and legal obligations as a licensed lodging business. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Marketing: we do not run marketing email campaigns and do not add you to any mailing list. If we ever do, it will be opt-in and every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.

4.Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share data with advertising networks.

  • Strictly necessary storage — a small amount of data is stored in your browser so the site works: for example, remembering that you dismissed the offer banner, and a secure session cookie for hotel staff who log in to the owner dashboard. These are not used to track you.
  • Embedded Google Map — our contact section embeds a map from Google, which may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. That is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones may stop parts of the site from working correctly.

5.Who we share information with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to operate the hotel and this website:

  • Service providers — our website host, database provider and transactional email provider, who process data strictly on our instructions to deliver the site and send your confirmation email.
  • Hotel staff — authorised members of our team who need your booking details to prepare and service your stay.
  • Travel platforms — if you booked through a platform such as Booking.com, we receive your booking details from them and exchange information with them as needed to service that reservation. Their own privacy policy governs the data you gave them.
  • Authorities — police, tax or other government bodies, where disclosure is required by law, court order, or for the prevention or investigation of an offence.
  • Professional advisers — accountants or legal advisers, bound by confidentiality, where necessary.

Some of these providers operate servers outside India. Where your data is transferred internationally, it is done only to deliver the services above and with providers who apply appropriate security safeguards.

6.How we protect your information

This website is served over HTTPS, so information you submit is encrypted in transit. Booking records are held in an access-controlled database, and the staff dashboard is protected by password-based login. Physical guest records at the property are kept secured, and access is limited to staff who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

7.How long we keep it

  • Booking and guest records — kept for as long as needed to service your stay and then for the period required by tax, accounting and lodging regulations.
  • Enquiries — kept only as long as needed to deal with your question and any follow-up.
  • Server logs — kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or remove the details that identify you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

8.Your rights

Subject to applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data of yours we hold and get a summary of it.
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected or updated.
  • Ask us to erase your personal data, where we are not required to keep it by law.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and escalate it if you are not satisfied.

To exercise any of these, email connectmannatplace@gmail.com from the address you booked with, or call +91 93659 30018. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days, at no cost.

9.Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 18 through this site — bookings for families are made by a parent or guardian, who provides any details for accompanying children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data directly, contact us at connectmannatplace@gmail.com and we will delete it.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or to the law. The current version is always published on this page with the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on this page. Continuing to use the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.

12.Grievance officer and contact

If you have any question, request or complaint about your personal data or this policy, please contact our Grievance Officer:

  • Grievance Officer, Mannat Lodge
  • Old LIC Building, Rabindra Sarani, Hailakandi, Assam - 788151
  • Email: connectmannatplace@gmail.com
  • Phone: +91 93659 30018

We acknowledge every grievance and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India or the appropriate authority.
